Viral transport media (VTM) specific to COVID-19 is listed and registered on FDA and complies most recent FDA guidance, developed considering the high rates of viral transmission and the enormous challenges of transportation and storage.

Exclusive Viral transport media (VTM) that can be collected, transported and stored at room temperature, solving major logistics problems.

Keeps the viral sample stable for 72 hours after collection at ROOM TEMPERATURE and, if necessary after these 72 hours,  it can be kept for another 3 days in refrigerator temperature (2 to 8 degrees). It can also be frozen at minus 70 degrees.

Packed and filled into a tube with anti-leakage screw thread system, the system of 3 internal rings in the cap prevents the leakage of biological material, with no possibility of contamination by the user who is handling the sample collected in the tube.

The tube is conical with a flat base, allowing standing on the laboratory bench, without the need for a support shelf.

Packed in a box with an internal shelf for 50 units, there is no need to purchase an extra shelf to store the tubes during collection.

Benefits:

  • FDA and ANVISA listed and registered.

  • Transported and stored at room temperature.

  • Leak-proof tube does not contaminate the user.

  • After collection, the sample is kept for up to 3 days at room temperature or 6 days at refrigerator temperature (2 to 8 degrees).

Technical Description:

Transport medium is the non-inactivated VTM (Virus Transport Medium), same as UTM (Universal Transport Medium). The main components are HANK's  base  solution (electrolyte), cell protector (glucose (BSA), HEPES PH buffer, cryoprotectant, PH indicator and antibiotic against bacteria and fungi.

VTM protects the integrity of various components (such as cells, viruses, proteins and genetic material, etc.) in a specimen. The specimens collected and transported by VTM can include a variety of pathogens, including various viruses, mycoplasma, and iymata, suitable for a variety of detection, including virus culture and molecular biological methods.
